Royce Lee Pershall
Obituary
Royce Lee Pershall, age 76, a life-long resident of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 14, 1949 in Lincoln the son of Jim Platt and Katie Leigh (Copeland) Pershall.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Luana Kae (Barton) Pershall, his parents, four sisters; Eva Goldman, Betty Butler, Cheryl Pettit, Joy Nell Gullett, and brother Weldon Pershall.
Royce proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid horse lover and a Quarter Horse trainer, finding peace and purpose in his barn. He worked for many years as a dispatcher at Simmons before finishing his career as a feed truck driver for Tyson Foods. Royce was happiest sitting in his barn, caring for his horses, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Widowed at the age of 44, he worked tirelessly to support and raise his five children. He was a loyal friend to many, a loving and supportive father, and a devoted grandfather who cherished every moment with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Pershall of the home, three sons; Michael Pershall, Scotty and wife Shelly Pershall, Casey and wife Gina Pershall, two daughters; Cristy and husband Dylan Brooks, and Mandy and husband Mitch Bartholomew. Grandsons; Cason Pershall, Jalen Pershall, Sylas Pershall, Staton Pershall, Ashton Pershall, and Weston Bartholomew. Granddaughters: McKinley Stamps, Camree Umberson, Rayleigh Bartholomew, Addie Pershall, Malorie Lloyd, Oaklee Pershall, and Journey Pershall. One great-grandson, Stetson Lloyd. Two brothers; Butch Pershall and Wendell Pershall.
Extended family: Kim and Bo Jones, Ashley and Ryan Patterson and kids, Michael and Linda Morgan and kids, Chris and Ashley Reeves and kids, and Madison Jones.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21 at 4:00 P.M at Luginbuel Chapel. The Memorial service will be held Monday, December 22 at 10:00 A.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
