Helen Hudson - Friends From Mt. Pleasant Church

Sorry to hear of Sammy's passing. He was special to our family and our boys really thought a lot of him. When Sammy's electricity would be off, he would call us to make sure ours was off too and we would end up talking for an hour. We enjoyed worshiping with him at church. Tonia you were a special blessing to your Dad. He loved you and was so proud of you.
David & Carolyn Latta And Boys - Friends

It was so sad to hear the news of Bro. Sammy passing on. I really enjoyed his testimonies at church. I remember him telling how God had mercy on him and spared his life during a bad car accident. He always had a smile and his face would just light up and beam when he talked of his grand children and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Marsha King, Jesse And Josh - Fellow Worshippers At Mt Pleasant Church

I knew Sammy from the VA Hospital. He was always in a good spirit and would find ways to make it work. It was a joy to see him and witness his cheerful personality. I will miss seeing him. His friend, Raymond

Ocie Anne Norrid - Cousin And Friend

Sammy was very special to me as he was my step-father at one time. He always made sure we had pop and a candy bar from the store everytime we went. He worked hard and he was a friend to whomever he met. Sis he loved you more than you will ever know he always had to tell me what you and he were doing and how he loved going to Chris's games. I know the time you got to have with him was not as much as you wanted but cherish each and every memory you have as they will comfort you in the long days to come. Sis, if he could tell you one thing it would be this that he loved you with all his big heart and he will be watching over you till one day you will meet again. We love you and if you need to talk about anything just call.
Steve And Darlene Roach - Tonyas Sister

Karen (dunham) Carlton - Aquaintance

Tonya, you know your dad loved you so much and was so happy to be a part of your family, I know i heard my mom say last week that Uncle Sammy was at her house and he ask her what time it was, and she told him, he said he had to go home cause it was time for him to check in with sarg, which was you, he looked forward to your calls to check on him, He was so happy when he was with you, you loved him as he was and he did not have to be someone else, it is funny how when they get older we have to raise them, but i quess that is the fun of it all, but sometimes i think it probably was easier to raise us than trying to raise them as they get older, cause they are not very cooperative with us. I quess that is the fun of them, Our parents are so loved by us. I know you will miss your dad so much but just remember all the time he was with you and all the things he said, and all of the stories he told and he will feel like he is with you all the time, it will comfort you day by day, and just ask the good lord to help you ever day.As time goes on it will get easier but the void will always be with you, Just think about his arms around you and him telling you how much he loved you, He will always be there with you, I love you and Ronnie and the kids so much, glad you finally got to be with us and be part of our big family, we are always here for you and all you have to do is call us and we will be there, Pat
