Your family are in our thoughts and prayers.....We are so glad to have known Ted and your family all these years. Ted touched a lot of lives and will not be forgotten. I know Tude and Agnes thought so much of him - everyone that met him did. I remember one of the last times I seen Ted he came down to the church to one of our cooking/canning classes and brought dill plants he had grown and gave the plants to everyone in the class - he was always thinking of others and how he could help. He really had a gift when it came to plants, flowers and landscaping. We love you guys and you are in our prayers.

When I think if Ted I think of how beautiful he though the world was. I am happy to be left with this memory of him. He will be missed. “The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes. If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it. Your life will be impoverished. But if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.”

Ted was a great friend and a lovely person to work with, which I did for eleven years. We shared a love for nature and beauty and wonder. He taught me many things about horticulture, about business and finance, and about how to treat other people, especially workers. Ted had great respect for everyone who worked for him and with him. He taught me to supervise workers with simple courtesy. He is one of those people that you are better off having known. May God give deep peace to Marcia, the girls, their families, and Ted and Mike's family. We'll miss you, buddy.

I know he touched many lives, but I will always remember the faith he had in me as an employee and a person. He gave me guidance, support and advice during a very difficult time in my life. I am a better person for having known him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.

To Mike & the Stuart Family, Some words of comfort by Mary Elizabeth Frye: Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die! Our heartfelt condolences are with all of you. Our life was enriched by knowing Ted. He will surely be missed. Love, Lisa & Cody

My visits with Ted have been short and spaced out over the years because of the long distance between Arkansas and Vermont. I realized early on that Ted was not a rapid fire speaker but over the years I came to appreciate how much knowledge and good will he had towards plants, animals and people and how thoughtful he was in what he said. He knew how to slow down and smell the roses and relish life and contribute to the lives of people who knew him.
Keith Morgan - Marcia's Brother
Dear Marsha: We never met, but I felt like I knew you from your phone calls to Ted. Anyone could see how pleased he was whenever a call from family came in to the office--- how much he loved you all. What a wonderful man-- we were all made the better for knowing him. Please accept my deepest, heartfelt condolences for your loss.
