Obituary

Thomas Hauver

72, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away suddenly on February 15, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while en-route to a short vacation in California. He was born April 15, 1936 in New York.

Tom recently organized a parade to honor Iraq Veterans. He proudly served the United States Air Force for 26 years where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in Vietnam and special projects, such as his proud involvement with the B-2 Bomber. He served our country in its endeavor to keep us all safe and secure our borders. He was stationed in such places as Japan, Korea, Alaska, Hawaii and more. He retired to Arkansas after falling in love with the area on a vacation. Mr. Hauver was a special, strong willed, loving man. His arms encircled and embraced us all.

Survivors include his wife, Ester Hauver of the home; three sons and daughters in law, Thomas and Rita of Sylmar, California and Richard and Molly of Minneapolis, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Erik, Ryan, Heidi, Ellie, Joshua, Gavin, Seth and Elizabeth.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas with Chaplain Jeremy Gorline officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

I was certainly sorry to hear of Tom's death and I offer my condolences to his family. We played golf together many times at Valley View and I enjoyed his company. He was an avid golfer up to the end.
