Tributes

Although Papa Tilman has now gone to live with God, I will always keep his memory alive. His love of music, animals and the outdoors will definitely live on through me. I know in my heart that he is now happier than ever, and I am sending love and best wishes to him.
Amber N Wilkinson - Granddaughter
Daddy, I want to thank you for giving me the gift of music and my deep love for animals. Thank you for helping me to be strong and independent. Thank you for all the good times we had when I was growing up. I was always your shadow. Thank you for being my Daddy. I already miss you so much. I have an emptiness that only you could fill. You will always live and be strong, happy and healthy, riding your horse and playing your fiddle in my heart and memories. Memories of you will never die. I love you very, very much.
Marilyn Fry - Daughter
Gene, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Always, Paige

Barbara Cox - Cousin
Thought I only met him once, I know so much about him. When he took my hand in greeting I could feel the strength of a caring man, and the softness of a father. The calluses told stories of long ago, from playing a fiddle to tending the horses, and in the smoothness, between these calluses, was the care he took in all things. He is dearly missed and I am thankfull for that handshake.
Jacob Wilkinson - Grandaughter's Husband
I have several videos of Uncle Tilman playing his music with my brothers that I treasure. He could always make us laugh. I will miss his music and requested it many times over when the local radio station played folk music every Sat.
