Vernon LeRoy Millis

Vernon was Howard's roommate for the past several months at Prairie Grove Rehab. Vernon was kind, gentle and a sweet man to be around. So sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Vernon's family at this difficult time.

Uncle Vernon was a dear man. My memories of him are of someone who loved his sons but had high expectations. He was proud of them. We haven't been in touch recently, but will feel his loss. Cynthia

To the Millis family, I remember Vern as a quiet gentle man. He and Bea were faithful friends to my in-laws Joe and Helen Davila. I remember them being over at the house often. May he rest in the Heavenly Father's arms forever. Our love to you!!

I AM VERY SORRY ABOUT VERNS PASSING. I CONSIDERED HIM ONE OF MY VERY BEST FRIENDS. WE WORKED TOGETHER AT WSMR FOR OVER 20 YEARS.I ALWAYS THOUGHT HE WAS ONE OF THE SMARTEST TECHS ON THE RANGE.I LEARNED A LOT FROM HIM.I WILL MISS YOU MR. 'MILLS'.

I have so many great memories with Grandpa Millis, thought I'd share a few.....1st and foremost eating pinions =), making beef jerky, making fruit leather, going camping & fishing at Water Canyon, listening to all his great stories, and really just going to visit him and Grandma in New Mexico period. It was always an adventure and I was always excited to get there and always sad to leave. I will miss you so much Grandpa, but I'm glad to know that you had such a great & fulfilled life. You were a very special person to me and lots of people. I can't wait to tell my kids about you when they are a little older and what a great person you were. I will always love you & think of you often!! Love~Ashley

Some of my favorite memories include Uncle Vernon's sense of humor. As one of "the little girls", I recall the quiet, gentle nature with just a twist of sass. I was saddened to learn of your loss. You are all in our thoughts & prayers.

Sorry to hear about grandpas passing. He was a great person and lived a long and fulfilled life. He has completed his earthy mission.

Vern was one of the kindest people that I have ever met and could tell a dang good story... so patient and tolerant. A great father, husband, relative and friend to anyone that knew him. Also made some of the best beef jerky I ever had and knew a thing or two about green chile. He will be missed. my condolences to all. Love, Kevin

I have very fond memories of Mr.& Mrs. Millis visiting my parents, Joe & Helen Davila. They were all great friends for many years. Mr. Millis was always very kind and we all thought very highly of him. My Dad passed away 2 weeks ago so I know they are together now catching up on old times.
