Mr. Harper was a wonderful, kind hearted man. The children of this neighborhood loved him and will miss him greatly. Mr. and Mrs. Harper have been a big part of what has made this neighborhood a fantastic place to live in and be a part of.

I knew Ervan Beeks ever since I was a small boy. I grew up with Carl, the first real friend I had, so I got to know Ervan pretty well. He made sure the whole family knew the value of hard work, which he always did, yet he was never too busy to sit down and visit or help a neighbor in need. Making time for people was important to him, a lost art these days. One always felt welcome at the Beeks home, their hospitality was always second to none. He was always ready to share any extra vegetables from his garden with his neighbors, the results of a lot of hard work. He was a kind and fair man, yet one you knew to respect. Thanks, Ervan for being a good neighbor and friend. I and the rest of your neighbors will miss you.

Mr. Beeks was so very kind to me when I was just a 16 year old kid. That was over 30 years ago. I worked the Wal-Mart sporting good counter and he came in every week. He learned of my interest in hunting and welcomed me to join him on many a night coon hunt. I will forever treasure our time.
