Obituary

MARRS, William - {from The Fayetteville Daily News, 21st inst.]
William Marrs, a veteran of the distinguished family that were among the
pioneers of Washington county, died at his home near Viney Grove yesterday
and was laid to rest to-day. In early days he went to California where he
lived until two years ago when he settled on the homestead where he passed
the evening of his long life. He was seventy-five years of age and a large
circle of friends and kindred assembled at the grave to pay the last tribute
of reverence to the memory of a brave and generous soul. [The Springdale
