William "Bill" Loyd Windham,
75, of Monett died June 1, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Linden, Texas, to Virgil Eugene and Ila Mae Floyd Windham.
He was a disabled Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Church of Christ and a locksmith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Windham.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Windham of Monett; a son, Loyd Windham and wife Becky of Niangua, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn Baker of Pierce City, Mo., Marie McLemore of Monett; three stepsons, Danny Remington and wife Julie of Broken Arrow, Okla., David Remington and wife Heather of Fairview, Mo., Richard Remington and wife Iris of Essen, Germany; two brothers, Charles Jackson Windham of Springdale, Emmett L. Windham of Springdale; a sister, Sue Harp of Springdale; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, www.backstrom-pyeatte.com. Services begin at 11 a.m.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery north of Lincoln.
