Mrs. Amanda R.E. WEST, age 81 years, widow of the late Noah A. WEST, who passed away March 19, 1942, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Fannie CARTE, here in Westville, Friday evening, January 15, after a long illness.
Funeral sercices were conducted from the Roberts Funeral Chapel Sunday by Rev. J.C. MORRIS, assisted by Rev. J.B. LATTA of Morrow, Ark.
She is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. Minnie REEVES, Sallisaw; Mrs. Cora BRIGGS, Sunset, Texas; Mrs. Edith TAPP, Lincoln, Ark.; Mrs. Fannie CARTE, Westville; Mrs. Eva ANDERSON, Stanwood, Wash.; Mrs. Nora PITTS, Cane Hill, Ark., and Mrs. Lucy WILHITE, Morrow, Ark.; one sister, three brothers, and a number of grandchildren.
Burial was made in the Ganderville cemetery near Summers.
