Mr. J. B. Brewster Died

At Tahlequah.

Mr. J. B. Brewster, well known familiarly known as "Babe" Brewster, died at his home at Tahlequah, Okla.. last Sunday morning, July 16th, following a protracted illness, with a complication of diseases. He had been in failing health for about a year, and during this time had under- went three operations.

Mr. Brewster was a man who made and held the friendship of all who knew him. Ile was a man of strong character and was posed of a jovial di position that made him popular with all who knew him.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Brewster, and was born on Cane Hill 3 years ago. He was the first of a family of ten children to pass away.

He is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Dr. J. H. Brewster of Prairie Grove, Bood and Orin Brewster of Cane Hill, Hugh Brewster of Washington City. Rev. Frank Brewster of North Missouri, Arthur Brewster of Dayton. Wash, Mrs. A. L. Patterson of Tahlequah, Okla., Mrs. Ross Moore of Claymore. Okla., and Mrs. Fannie Woods of Dayton. Wash.

Mr. Brewster was twice married. By his first marriage he is survived by one daughter, Miss Lillian Brewster.

After the death of his first wife he was united in marriage with Mrs. Nannie Funkhouser, who survives him with one son, little Dee Brewster.

For several years the deceased was a citizen of Prairie Grove, where be was in business with the Southern Merc. Co. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and while living here, was an elder in the local. church.

The burial was made at Tahlequah last Monday. Dr. J. H. Brewster and son Gordon, and daughter. Rebs, and Mr. A. T. Strickler went to Tahlequah to at- tend the funeral. Also Messrs. Bood and Orin Brewster, Chas. Kirby, Chas. McClellan and John Brewster of Cane Hill, attended the funeral.
