Alfred W. Gregg

GREGG, Alfred Wilson - Alfred Wilson Gregg, eldest son of Judge

Lafayette Gregg of this city, died at the family residence in this city on

Monday morning last in the 25th year of his age after a lingering illness of

several weeks. Al was a young attorney, just entering upon an active and

promising life; was highly esteemed by our entire community and his death

is deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives. The funeral

took place at the residence of his father on Tuesday morning last, conducted

by Elder J.F. Floyd of the Christian church, after which the remains

were buried in Evergreen cemetery. Another of our best citizens has
