Roderick Temple

Roderick and Mary were married October 2, 1817 in Williamson County, Frankfort, TN, by a Clergyman named Adkinson. Edward Smith was Bondsman. Mary was a second cousin to General Robert E. Lee. Roderick joined the Tennessee Militia and was discharged April 10, 1813 at Fayetteville, Lincoln County, Tenn. He and Mary moved from Williamson County to Davidson County, Tennessee before 1840 and he died there in 1849.

After Roderick's death, Mary moved to Crawford County, AR and settled in the Flatrock Community; then later moved to Rudy, Ar and lived there until her death.
