Betty Jean Henry

Age 85, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born August 20, 1938 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Dora Lee (Carter) Hamilton.

Betty was well loved by the community and with good reason, she helped raise numerous kids in the Prairie Grove School District. She worked for the school district in various capacities for forty-one years, mostly in the cafeteria and driving a bus, until her retirement in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob Henry, two sisters Opal and Othalee, and two brothers Merrel and Orvil.

Survivors include two sons Billy Henry and his wife Deanna and Bobby Henry; one brother Eugene Hamilton and his wife Connie all of Prairie Grove, Arkansas;

The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2023, 6:00-8:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Lincoln, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas, there will be no graveside services held.
