Miss Mary Campbell Passes Away.

At 1:30 o'clock Tuesday, March 19th. Miss Mary Elizabeth Campbell passed peacefully into the great beyond, that beautiful home of the soul.

Early in the morning, on New Year's Day, she suffered a slight stroke of paralysis and though she suffered very little pain. and for a time those who were constantly at her bedside, had hopes of her recovery, her strength and vitality gave way and like a tired child, she fell asleep.

The deceased was born in Frederick county, Va.. March 28, 1837. She was the eldest daughter of the eleven children of Robert Madison Campbell and his wife. Rebecca Lockhart Campbell.

When an infant she was baptized by Rev. Dr. Hill of the Presbyterian church. with which church later in life she united and in which she has lived a devout and consecrated Christian. Miss Mary left her home near Winchester, Va., in December, 1903, coming to Prairie Grove, Ark. to live. "Virginia Home" was the name she gave her new home and here she has made many, many friends, who greatly ad- mired her for her noble, unselfish life and her gracious hospitality. her pleasant smile and hearty hand-shake. These. without the kindly words, told you that you were ever welcome.

Miss Mary is survived by six brothers and three sisters, Dr. William . II. Campbell of Oxings Mill, Md.; Bean Cartmell B. C. Campbell of Opaquing. Va.; Robert Madison R. M. Campbell of Nendesha, Kan; Josiah Lockhard Dr J. E. and Herbert Clinton H. C. Campbell of Nowata, Okla., and Allan Walton Campbell of Tulsa, Okla.: Mrs. Nannie R. Glass of Winchester, Va.; Mrs. H. C. Magruder and Mrs. A. L. Maupin of Prairie Grove.

The funeral was held from the Presbyterian church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, her pastor, Rev. F. A. Bradshaw, assisted by Rev. Thomas 1. Beck of Wesleyan, Methodist church, officiating. Miss Mary loved the hymns of her childhood days and the ones used were "O eyes that are weary and hearts that are sore". And is it so! "A little while." "Oh God, our help in ages past," this last hymn was sung by airs. Ella Barnett, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Campbell of Tulsa. Okla., Mr. A. M. Camp- bell of Stilwell, Okla., and Miss Betsy Campbell of Fayetteville, were present at the funeral.

The interment was made in the Prairie Grove cemetery. The newly made grave was banked with beautiful flowers, for no one loved these more than she.
