He worked for Washington County for 20 years as the Civil

Defense Director, Civil Defense Coordinator and purchasing agent. He was

a former member of the Prairie Grove City Council and a current member of

the Prairie Grove Planning Commission.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lou Allen of the home; four sons and

daughters in law, David Martin Allen and Jennifer of Arlington, TX,

Michael Lee Allen and Stacey of Springdale, AR, Steven Andrew Allen and

Gina of Simi Valley, CA and David Allen Schroeder and Linda of Palm Springs

CA; one brother in law Joe Lazares of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren

and one great grandchild.
