Mona Lujean Carte

78 a resident of Lincoln, passed away September 9, 2012 in Fayetteville. She was born September 5, 1934 in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Clarence and Katy Dosier Kennedy.

Mona retired after 20 years of service as a bus driver for the Lincoln School District.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carte.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Duane Carte of Evansville, Arkansas and Bruce Randell Carte of Morrow; two daughters, Belva Griffin of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Becky Lujean Tanner of Baton Rouge, Louisianna; honorary son, Jon Carte of Dutch Mills; two brothers, Bruce Kennedy of California and Cecil Moe Kennedy of Lincoln; one sister, JoAnn Snodgrass of Lincoln; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. There will be a gathering following the service at the Evansville Community Center.
