Notes
Mary Florence (Brock) Burris
80, of West Fork, Arkansas, was called home to Heaven on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She passed peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.
Mary was born on December 29, 1944 to Argil Hugh Brock and Pauline Opal (Karnes) Brock in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On June 10th of 1962, she married the love of her life, Randy Burris. The two were an inseparable couple, full of love for Jesus and deeply committed to serving others. Over their 58 years of marriage, they impacted many lives. Their constant joy and steadfast faith in Jesus Christ were a testament that drew many to salvation.
While Mary found much of her joy and identity in being a pastor’s wife, she also delighted in being a mother and a “Granny.” She was a natural caretaker whether at church or with family. Everyone knew they would be well fed at her house and that she would never allow them to turn down food-no matter how much they insisted they weren’t hungry.
She was known for being a hard worker on the farm in her early life and an expert gardener of both flowers and vegetables in her later years. In all seasons of life, she liked to be busy. Rather than complaining about difficulties, she met them with jokes and laughter. Her humor, warmth, and radiant spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Randy; her parents; and her sister, Arline Pearl (Brock) Waterson.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love carried on by her family: her son, Kevin Burris; two daughters, Kristi Andrews and her husband, Stan, and Karla Thompson and her husband, Tim; nine grandchildren, Bethany Pinkley, Brooke Ledbetter, Tanner Andrews, Mary Beth Weaver, Gracie Claire Andrews, Pearson Andrews, Robert Lewis, Katie Thompson, and Jett Thompson; and eight great-grandchildren.
At the visitation on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Unity Covenant Church in West Fork, Arkansas. Burial will follow in the West Fork Cemetery. No graveside services will be held.
