Wm Riley Cowan enrolled in Co. E, 2nd Regiment, Arkansas Infantry. After a battle Clarksville, he caught smallpox and died, near Clarksville. Sometime before 1880 Zilla and most of her family had moved into Madison Co. Son Mike married and had 9 children in Madison Co. All the children married there except the youngest, Walter, who married in Creek Co., OK.
