W. C. (WILLIAM CARROLL) POSTON was probably the son of William Poston.
Their land laid from near Cincinnati, on west to Indian Territory and then running
north. When W. C. (William Carroll) died in 1858, there was a dispute over the land.
His wife's name was Bathseba (Tilley). His children were William T. Poston, John J.
Poston (under 21) and a daughter Jane Poston McAdams, married to Thomas McAdams.
In this dispute, the negro slaves were divided among his heirs.
