Victor Homer Barron

Victor was the son of Calvin J. & Caroline "Carmelia" (Bell) Barron. His maternal grandparents were Malichi & Mary Etta (Clemmons) Bell. Mary Etta was often known as Margillia.

Victor Harmon Barron, age 18, registered for the draft on September 12, 1918. At the time, he was single & lived in Rudy, AR with his brother, Ernest. His date of birth is recorded as August 21, 1900. He was farming for Dewy Franz in Alma. His physical description was short, medium build, black eyes and hair.

AR marriage records indicate that Victor married Allie Graham in Fort Smith, Washington Co, AR on May 31, 1923. Allie was the daughter of Joseph Andrew "Peter" & Relda J (Cloer) Graham.

Thanks to FindAGrave member, Angela (Hart) Masterson (#46775092), for information about this marriage (Nov. 14, 2014). She wrote, "I have found an Allie Graham who married Victor H Barron. In her mom's obituary on Find A Grave Memorial# 114444167, it shows "Mrs. Allie Brown."

Victor's marriage to Allie apparently ended. He was 25 years old when he married Flossie Toy, age 16, in Elm Springs, Washington Co, AR on March 30, 1927.

On April 15, 1930, Victor H., age 29, & Flossie M., 18, lived in Elm Springs where he farmed to support them. Flossie had given birth to two children: Arley A., 1 year & 10 months, & Homer H., 5 months.

On April 27, 1940, Victor, age 38, & Flossie, 27, were renting a farm in Elm Springs. Their children were: Arlie, 11; Homer, 10; Jackie (son), 7; Ruby, 5; Dorothy, 3, & Betty Jo, 1.

Victor died in December 1960.
