From Terrill White---Truck Wreck Kills Tulsan
Vehicle's Brakes Fail on Hill at Tahlequah Tahlequah, Feb 19 AP
Clyde Fraley 34, Tulsa transport company driver, died in the flaming wreckage of his gasoline trailer-truck today when the vehicle crashed into a concrete wall in town's residential district. Witnesses said the truck's brakes apparently failed as he started to descend the four block long Depot hill at the edge of the city. He stayed with the heavy vehicle, guiding it down the hill and through two business blocks, blowing his horn all the way, before it crashed. Investigating officers said they presumed he died instantly in the wreck. His body was badly burned. Fraley, a driver for the Bison Transport Co., lived at 1527 E. Seventh St. Tulsa. He is survived by his wife and a five year old daughter.
