Beverly Rankin

Beverly Rula, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, June 13, 2016 under the care of hospice at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Beverly was born January 19, 1934 in Shellsburg, Iowa to Arthur and Leona (Carr) Rankin, Sr.

She was united in marriage to Leo Roger Rula on July 25, 1953 in Palo.

Beverly was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by son Randy (Julie) of Cedar Rapids; daughters Brenda (Randy) Lane of Palo and Belinda (Darden) Caylor of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Leo in 1994; son Robert Rula in 1994; and brother Art Rankin, Jr.

Memorials in Beverly’s name may be made to the Spinal Cord Society or UnityPoint Hospice.
