Glenn Monroe Cahall, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cahall of Cove Creek, was born in Britton, Oklahoma, on January 27, 1931, and passed away on May 6, 1932, at the age of 1 year, 3 months, and 9 days.

He is mourned by:

• His parents G.E. Cahall born about 1907

• One younger brother, aged 2½ months

• Great-grandfather Ray of Greasy Valley

• Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cahall of Cove Creek

• Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hester of Greasy Valley

• Numerous aunts and uncles

Interment took place at West Cemetery in Greasy Valley.

Funeral services were held at the family home, officiated by Rev. Frank Biswell.

Hymns sung included:

• “Sweet Bye and Bye”

• “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder”

• “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”

Glenn was laid to rest beside his sister, Helen Louella Cahall, who passed away two years and five months earlier

Glenn Monroe Cahall's parents were Glenn V. Cahall and Verna Marie Sapp.

Based on genealogical records, Glenn V. Cahall (1908-1978) and Verna Marie Sapp (1912-1983) were married in Brown County, Ohio, on December 3, 1932. Although their marriage occurred after Glenn Monroe Cahall’s death, it's likely they were already together prior to formalizing the union, which was not uncommon in certain rural communities at the time. Glenn Monroe Cahall, born in 1931 and died in 1932, appears to have been their child.

To further support this:

• Glenn V. Cahall was the son of James Harlin Cahall Jr. and Ethel Henderson.

• Verna Marie Sapp was likely the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hester, based on the obituary reference to Glenn Monroe Cahall’s grandparents.

glad to assist.

From the obituary for Glenn Monroe Cahall, the grandparents listed are:

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cahall of Cove Creek

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hester of Greasy Valley

These are his maternal and paternal grandparents, though the obituary does not specify which set belongs to which parent.

Based on genealogical records:

Glenn Monroe Cahall was the son of Glenn V. Cahall (1908-1978) and Verna Marie Sapp (1912-1983).

Glenn V. Cahall was the son of James Harlin Cahall Jr. and Ethel Henderson, making Joe Cahall likely a relative in the paternal line.

Verna Marie Sapp may have been the daughter of someone connected to Chas. Hester, suggesting he was her stepfather or maternal grandfather.

If you'd like help tracing the lineage of Joe Cahall, Chas. Hester, Glenn V. Cahall, or Verna Marie Sapp, I’d be glad to assist.
