Zadok Clayton Winn

Zadok "Clayton" Winn married his first cousin, Marinda Louise Winn, daughter of James Minor & Nancy Bloyed Winn, Winslow, AR. When Zadok Clayton was just a young man in 1850, his family moved to AR. His Dad, Zadok Winn drowned in a flood in Washington County, in what became known as Winn's Creek.

Zadok Clayton had 11 children that started families in AR, OK, TX and OR. Locating all of them has been a journey, and now we are learning that researchers have written a book on his family, and that some of his sons were not included in the book. Zadok Clayton's mom, Elizabeth Brecheen Winn, moved to MO, after Zadok's drowning, to be near her oldest son, Larkin Davidson. She married again in her later years in abt 1863 to William Holden. They were married in Scott County, MO, but water damage to the record doesn't not give specific dates that are legible.

Winn Research and their Family DNA Research is one of the best participated, and more info will be coming on this Winn/Winn family, that moved to AR from TN.
