Hoyt Lee Sams

Hoyt Lee Sams, age 62 of Limestone, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The son of Darrell Vernon and Ruby May (Stone) Sams was born on June 2, 1954 at Limestone, Arkansas.

Hoyt had worked in Federal Law Enforcement for 25 years and he had worked for the US Forest Service. He was owner/operator of D&H Cattle and had been on the Nail-Swain Water Association board for about 6 months. He loved fishing, hunting and farming and was a heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Donna (Chaffin) Sams of Limestone; one son, Billy Lee Sams of Van Buren; one daughter, Nikki Sams-Bohannon of Mountainburg; four brothers, Donnie Sams of West Fork, David Sams and Harlen Sams both of Fayetteville and Donald Sams of Deer; one sister, Ruth Braudrick of West Fork; four grandchildren, Jolseph Carl Sams, Jessica Ann Sams, Leanna Jean Sams-Bohannon and Darrell Lynn Sams-Bohannon and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Deer School Gymnasium with Brother Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Nail Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jolseph Sams, Dustin Sams, Donnie Bohannon, Preston Reed, Jessica Sams and Brock Matlock.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 Longview Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
