Homer Francis Lewis Dead

The angel of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred N. Lewis 2½ miles west of Prairie Grove Thursday night, July 12th, about 8:30 o’clock and took from them their little son, Homer Francis Lewis. The little fellow was stricken with appendicitis July 2, and was sick only 11 days, during which time he suffered much, but bore his suffering with remarkable patience.

Homer Francis Lewis was born April 4, 1908, and was 9 years, 3 months and 8 days old. He was a bright, manly little fellow and will be sadly missed in the home, which was made by his presence happier. He will be sadly missed from the family circle, the four brothers who were his daily companions, and the bereaved parents and sister.

The funeral service was held from the Cumberland Presbyterian church Friday morning at 11 o’clock, Rev. Dr. O. B. Searcy, pastor of the Christian church, officiating, and the burial was made in the Prairie Grove cemetery.
