George Simpson

If there is such a thing as a typical American family that of George and Mary Ann Edmiston Simpson would probably fall into such a classification. they started their home as farmer folk near Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR in 1850. Later they moved to Cincinnati, AR where both died. They are both buried in the Edmiston Cemetery near Morrow, AR.

The youngest child was Hattie Mackie who lived in Westville, OK. The oldest child, Rebecca Jane Simpson married Alfred Marrs at Prairie Grove, Washington County, AR and they spent most of their married life as farmers near Westville, OK.SIMPSON, George - George Simpson, 82 years of age, died recently of Bright’s disease at the home of his son, George D.
