Notes

Braly, Mary Frances_04_17_1915

Miss. Fannie Braley, who died at the home of her brother in Lincoln Saturday morning, was buried here Sunday afternoon. We did not learn just what was the matter with her. She was nearly 69 years old. She lived a great part of her life at Clyde just below here.

Her funeral services were conducted by Revs. Hanks. Gaither, Carnahan and Knox, at the College Chapel.

The interment was made in the McClellan cemetery. There was a great concourse of friends and relatives present to pay their last respects to Miss Braley.

She was devoted christian lady and much loved by all who knew her.

Daughter of Rev. F. M. and Amanda Braly.

Confirmed by listing in "Cemeteries of Washington County, Arkansas," a publication of the Washington County Genealogical Society, p. 22, published in early 1980's. They listed her date of death as April 17, 1915, and the marker was likely more readable at the time of their canvass and survey. My photo looked more like 1912.
