John Byard Spear was born September 1, 1966 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He passed away at his home in Fort Worth, Texas on Easter weekend 2025.
He leaves behind his Godchildren, Brinkley Florence and Brayden Florence; his parents, Randall and Anna Cuzick Spear; a brother and his wife, Randy and Angela; a niece, Abby and her husband, Terry Lee Kirkland and their children Brooks, Charlie and Hope; and a niece Gracie and her husband, Sam Ammons.
John was blessed with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were a big part of his life.
John graduated from Prairie Grove High School and the University of Arkansas with a degree in Computer Science.
John accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on April 1, 1973.
John was known for his cake decorating skills, helping his friends, doing skits with his dummy, Danny O’ Day and being a big time Snoopy fan.
John spent many years leading a large ESL program at his church and many years helping in the nursery at Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
John enjoyed spending time with his Godchildren and their mother, Jenni Tharp. He cherished every moment of watching them grow up. He spent a lot of his time watching them participate in many activities and loved joining them on family vacations.
John will always be remembered for his dynamic personality. Family parties were a lot more fun if he was there!
He will be greatly missed!
Visitations will we held Thursday, April 24, 2025 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home 115 N Neal St. in Prairie Grove. The family will visit with friends, Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church - 1719 S Mt. Olive Street in Siloam Spring, Arkansas.
Burial will be in the Edmiston Cemetery near Morrow, Arkansas, there will be no graveside service held.
Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas was in charge of arrangements.
