Vauna Jean (Satterfield) Neill, 77, took her heavenly flight home on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Longview, TX.Mrs. Neill was a loving wife and mother who loved the Lord above all else. She was born in Longmont, CO to J. D. and Goldie Satterfield on May 20, 1931.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; three brothers, Jr., Paul and Derrell; two sisters, Lila Ferguson and Erma Wallace; one daughter, Sue Burgess; and her husband, Elmer Dean Neill.

When Vauna was able, she attended the First Church of the Nazarene and loved to listen to Southern Gospel Music and read her Bible.

Vauna is survived by her son, Murray and Midori Simpkins of Yokosuka, Japan; daughter, Deborah O'Kane of Longview, TX; three granddaughters, Shari Bolton of McKinney, TX, Tonyalaya Nida of Bentonville, AR and Vauna Lendhart of Chase City, Virginia; two grandsons, Satoru Simpkins of Japan and Murray Randall Simpkins of Peyson, AZ; along with four great grandchildren, Emily Claire, Tommy, Joey and Chloe of Bentonville, AR.

She is also survived by three sisters, Ola Watts of Alabama, Ruth Barker of Muldrow, OK, and Barbara Van Wey of Cross Plains, TN; along with a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Neill always had a smile and will be missed by all who have come in to contact with her throughout the years.

Funeral services for Vauna Jean Neill will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Millsap Funeral Chapel in Webbers Falls, OK with Reverend Wayne Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery in Porum, OK.
