Obituary
Alice Sue Stephenson, 72, a resident of Evansville, Arkansas, passed away July 15, 2014 at her home. She was born March 4, 1942 in Prairie Grove, the daughter of Charles Bruce and Ella Mae Groce Lawhorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, JD, Charles, and John Lawhorn; three sisters, Judy Huffman, Linda Fincher, and Ruby Gilbert.
Sue is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenith Roger Stephenson; four sons, Roger Douglas Stephenson and wife Pam of Prairie Grove, Bobby Stephenson and wife Tammy of Pettigrew, Brian Stephenson and wife Debbie of Evansville, and Kendall Stephenson and wife Debbie of West Fork; one daughter, Amy Coen and husband Jeff of Pennsylvania; four brothers, Jim Lawhorn of Springdale, Henry Ford Lawhorn of Hindsville, Tom and Robert Lawhorn both of Elkins; one sister, Ann Burrows of Ozark; nine grandchildren, Mindi Salvino, Corey, Hunter, Andrew, and Taylor Stephenson, Scott Boyd, Michael Dunning, Gary Guthrie, and Brandy Sellers; nine great grandchildren, Noah, Bo, Jax, Holley, Olivia, Trenton, Jude, Julian, and Kyle.
Sue raised many vegetables in the gardens she grew every year and many animals on the farms where she worked so hard. She had a love of flower gardening, quilting, and reading. But the most precious things in Sue’s life were her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved them with all her heart and would do whatever she could for them. They will miss her always and love her forever.
No funeral services are planned. A memorial gathering will take place at a later time.
Cremation is under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
