Obituary

Claude “Hank” Sargent 86, a resident of Prairie Grove, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2014 at the Prairie Grove Health and Rehab. He was born January 13, 1928 in Prairie Grove the son of Charles W. and Iva M. Crawley Sargent.

Hank was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church of Prairie Grove where he previously served as a deacon for 30 years. He had loved to ride his horses and mules and enjoyed fishing and traveling with LaVerne and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Clyde, Clinton and Clarence; six sisters, Alma Caviness, Belle Prater, Louise Prater, Lorraine Skelton, Maudeline McKee and Dolly Kidd.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years LaVerne Jetton Sargent; One son, Jerry and wife Joan of Prairie Grove; two grandsons Justin and Bradley; five great grand children, Brett, Carriann, Sara Kate, Emily and Brooks; two step grand daughters, Tammy Vaughn and Paula Harmond and five step great grand children, Mason, Gracie, Austin, Jordon, and Karsyn; One brother, Chester and wife Betty of Prairie Grove; one sister, Bonnie Anderson and husband Sam of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 - 11:00 A.M. at the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove with Randy Burris and Danny O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Fall Creek Cemetery Strickler, Arkansas. No graveside services will be held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Prater, Delbert Prater, Jim Prater, Daren Sargent, Blake Sargent, and James Sargent.
