Eugene Earnest "Blue" Martin
81 a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord, September 16, 2012 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born April 9, 1931 at Armorel, Arkansas, the son of William T. and Sadie J. Webb Martin.
"Blue" moved to California in 1960, where he met and married Vianna Glasscock in September 29 of 1964. He enjoyed his flowers, fishing, gardening, helping around the church, and singing at the nursing home. He never met a stranger that he would not pray for or help. He was active in his church.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother Art Martin; one nephew, Little Art Martin and one grandson.
Survivors include his wife Vianna Martin of the home; one son, Troy Martin of California; two daughters, Nancy Martin of Colorado, and Jennetta Metcalf of Arkansas; one brother, Billy Martin of Arkansas; two sisters, Shirley Seigler of Arizona, and Della Mae Barden of Arkansas; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; four nephews, Little Art, Kenny Martin, Billy Ray Martin, Jimmy Martin.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel, with Freda McLeroy officiating. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln. No graveside services will be held at the cemetery.
Memorial may be made to the Prairie Grove Church of God building fund (304 W. Cleveland - Prairie Grove, AR 72753)

Brother Martin will be really missed by many. He was one of the most humble sincere people I have ever known. But he has made it home now and is with Jesus. Oh I know he is so happy and whole. We will all meet again one day. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
