Guy Shepherd
79 a resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with his Lord on October 26, 2014 at his home. He was born October 6, 1935 in Health, Arkansas, the son of William Thomas and Alice Barker Shepherd.
Guy was a member of the Center Point Church of God. He loved to coon hunt and work in the garden where he grew the most delicious tomatoes. He also enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren and the rest of his family and friends. He was previously employed at Fullbrights in Fayetteville and then went to work at Jones Lumber in Prairie Grove where he worked for 21 years until it closed. He then went to work at Prairie Grove Schools in 1987 where he worked until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Teala Jane Shepherd and Velma Rose Shepherd, two brothers Elmer Shepherd and Elbert Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Bula Bradley Shepherd; three daughters Sharon Shepherd, Twylla Shepherd and Guyla Tylor and husband Michael; three grandchildren Ethan, Mikayla and Rachel Tylor all of Prairie Grove; two sisters Dollie McCollough of Springdale, Arkansas and Hazel Hodge of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother Paul Shepherd of Farmington, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - 10:00 A.M. at Center Point Church of God in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no grave side services held at the cemetery.
