Imogene Abshier

85 a resident of Morrow, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1930 in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Marion Andy and Iva Mae Sharrock McCratic.

Imogene was a faithful member of the Hale Mountain Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harley Abshier, one son Jackie Abshier, one daughter-in-law Donna Abshier and one brother Don McCratic.

Survivors include three sons Rick Abshier of Farmington, Steve Abshier and his wife Joyce of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Terry Abshier and his wife Jill of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one daughter Judy Denton and her husband Harry of Cane Hill, Arkansas; One sister Margie Galloway of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Thursday September 1, 2016 10:00 A.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.

My heart is very sad for all of her family and friends. I visited her Mon, Wed and Thurs before I left town last week to go to Chi to help move my son. She promised me she would wait until I got back, but obviously I didn't hold her to it. I love this Godly woman and she was my second mommy. She was never shy about saying "I love you". We will miss her so much, but she is with Jackie, Harley and Donna, her parents and my parents and so many more!? God bless you all-get ready to go meet her. Xo

Dearest family. MY heart aches over your loss. Imogene and Harley were wonderful folks, and now they are reaping their reward of their faithful and caring lives. We grieve here, but a great rejoicing is happening in heaven. God's faithful have come home. My deepest sympathies, and all my love and prayers.
