Tributes

John was more than just a colleague to me; he was a friend. His warm "Good morning" greeted me each day, brightening even the dreariest of mornings. His genuine kindness made the workplace a better place to be. John was a master of banter. His playful humor added a special sparkle to our interactions. Whether it was a witty retort or a light-hearted joke, John had a knack for bringing laughter to me. He was always there to lend a listening ear and a helping hand. He will be missed!!! To John's family, I offer my deepest condolences. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared together.

John was not only my colleague, he was my friend. In 2021, after moving office locations, I discovered that I was going to be working alongside John, with whom I graduated from high school! It was like old times.... he picked on me, and I picked right back. John was truly the kindest human who worked in our building. He was thoughtful, caring, and funny. He had a positive impact on every single person he encountered. To John's family - please know that he will be missed and I send my condolences and prayers for peace during this incredibly difficult season.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside John both in his time at UA Athletics and as part of our Building Maintenance staff at Uptown Campus. John was one of the nicest, and wittiest fellows I have ever known. He was always quick with a joke or just a kind word when he could tell you were having a challenging day. My wife Jessica also worked with John and got to know him well. We're both very saddened at his passing. I want to send my condolences to his wife Christine and his son Samuel as well as the rest of his family and friends. He was a good man and his humor and kindness will be greatly missed.

John was my friend. Not just a coworker. I've been with John since he came to Uptown in 2012 about the same time as us. For 12 years he has been a part of my work family. We weathered COVID when the BASIS Team was the only group allowed back on campus - and were the only other souls in the building besides John, Tim, and Pete. We have become very close over the years and John was one of the nicest people in the world. Prayers for peace to his family. God Speed John. We miss you.

Your kindness and willingness to help others have made a positive impact on all of us. You often shared happy stories about your wife and son, and I hope that your family can find strength and support in each other during this time.

John was kind, thoughtful, and loved his family. He was so proud of his wife and son and was always bragging on them. His face would just light up when he talked about family. Every day I would ask how he's doing, and he would reply "I'm still fat and sassy." I'm going to miss that witty little banter we would have in the halls. John, you were a very precious soul to all of us and you will be greatly missed.

There are so many things that come to mind about John. I have had the pleasure of working with him since 2021. I always enjoyed our conversations about our kids, families, trips and life. I'm fairly certain that Devil's Den was one of his most favorite places in Arkansas. John was a shining light and was always so kind. He was always looking out for us and providing a helping hand to open my office when I had 20 things to carry in from my car. He always took care of things at the building. He was so proud of his son and always talked about his wife. I will miss his jokes, laugh and smile. He will be missed very much. Prayers for all of his loved ones during this challenging time and in days to come.
