My sincere condolences to the Holt family. John was a cherished friend when we were young boys growing up in Fayetteville. We stayed in touch until we were young men and I will always carry the memories of the fun and friendship we had and John's contagious laugh. I'm grateful to have experienced the kindness and understanding that John and his sister Nana showed towards me.
