Lillian Gay Reed

76 a resident of Summers, passed away February 2, 2012 in Bentonville. She was born August 9, 1935 at Boynton, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Andrew and Lillian Ester Poole Allen

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Clayton Reed.

Lillian held many jobs including working in a nursing home afterschool, Kelly Canning factory, Campbell Soup, Obermens and later Levi Strauss, a waitress at a coffee shop on Dickson Street, helped run a dairy farm and manage a trailer park. But the job that she took the most pride in was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had been a member of a Baptist church and later joined the Church of Christ in Lincoln.

Survivors include one son, Grover Clayton Reed II of Bella Vista; two daughters, Linda Gay Reed Struble of Summers and Dana E.A. Upton of Pineville, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
