Mary Alice Martin
74, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord, March 10, 2012 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born February 22, 1938 in Clifty, Arkansas, the daughter of Harvey and Tennie Orman Shepherd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Allen Sr., one son, Jimmy Wayne Long Martin; two step sons, Arthur Allen Jr. and Kenny Dean Martin; several brothers and sisters.
Mary was a member of the Wedington Road Pentecostal Church of God in Lincoln, she was very proud of all her children and adopted children. She will greatly missed.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Lee Long Jr. and Bobby Lee Long Martin both of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one step son John Martin of California; one daughter Kathy Hicks of Greenland, Arkansas; one step daughter, Shirley Blair of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Alvin Shepherd of Fayetteville, Arkansas and one sister, Martha Maxwell of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen grandchildren, Michael Blair, Billy Martin, Johnny Martin, Amy Reuck, Raymond L. Martin, Lora Martin, Daniel Martin, Kimberly Andrews, Kenny Andrews Jr., Christiana Andrews, Raymond Martin, Joshua Hicks, Angela Hicks, Billy Long III, and Bobby Martin; eleven great grandchildren. and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Sister Edna Tatum officiating. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery Lincoln, Arkansas. No grave side services will be held at the Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Lee Long Jr., Josh Hicks, Billy Long III, Rusty Walden, Jordan Baumgardner, James Baumgardner, and Randy Reigh.

Was just wondering about Mary the other day. I always had such nice visits when we ran into each other out in public. She was such a Sweet lady. Seemed like we had known each other for years. I know her family will Greatly Miss her. But at least she is with Big Art, Little Art and Her Son Kenny, and her Grandson Kenny now.

I loved how you always made yourself look so pretty, your hair just so, and dressed real cute. It was a joy to see the pride you took in yourself.
Above all I loved seeing Jesus in you, and having the assurance that I knew where you were going, and I know we'll see you soon. I praise God for your life and the love you shared with us. You will be missed so very much.
