Rita Geneva Childress
87, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away February 15, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born April 5, 1921 near Rheas Mill, Arkansas, the daughter of William M. "Billy" and Edna Bell Beaty Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Childress; three brothers, Alvin Moore, Claude Moore and Billy Moore; one sister, Imogene Myers Whitmire; one great granddaughter, Minnie Davis.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kay Davis and her husband Kenneth of Lincoln, Arkansas; one sister, Nina Grant of Farmington, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Gary Davis and his wife, Sharon, of Cincinnati, Arkansas, Lacy Davis of Lincoln, Arkansas and Delana Watson and her husband, Matthew, of Lincoln, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, Jason Davis and his wife, Michelle, of Lincoln, Arkansas, Kelly Turner and her husband, Jason, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Eric Davis and his wife, Jessica, of Springdale, Arkansas; two great great grandchildren, Kimberleigh Warner and Emily Mackley.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1:00-8:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M..
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Rick Reed and Randy Magar. Burial will be in the Beaty Cemetery near Lincoln, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be, Gary Davis, Lacy Davis, Jason Davis, Eric Davis, Matthew Watson, Jason Turner and David Ray.

I am so sorry to see that Rita passed. But..We have our memories of her. I really enjoyed her comming to the center, and going shoping with us. When I would go see her at rehab,we always had a good time remembering the fun times together.Heaven now has another wonderful Angel!!!! I pray that God will be with the Family for comfort. God Bless you. Rita will be truly missed.

Rita and Nina used to ride w/ us out to Quanah, TX for the Bentley family reunion. We had so much fun w/ those two and will never forget how sweet Rita was and how much she made us laugh. Memories of those days and Rita's quick wit will live on forever and we will miss Rita greatly.
