Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Burlison, 64, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 in Prairie Grove. She was born December 7, 1958 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the daughter of Louis Alfred and Dorothy Ann (Arnold) Burlison.

Sarah graduated from Prairie Grove High school in 1977. She attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs where she embraced her passion for sports by playing basketball and softball. After graduation from John Brown she moved back to Prairie Grove where she shared her love of sports with the people closest to her. Sarah was a dedicated employee at Home Depot for many years. She also worked at Magna Tech and Jim’s Razorback Pizza during her life. She worked diligently and consistently throughout her lifetime so that she could share generously with those she loved. Sarah enjoyed movies, cooking for her co-workers, and spending time with friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers, Mark and David Burlison.

Survivors include her sister, Ruth Cox and husband, Vernon; one brother, Leslie Burlison and wife Debbie; several nieces and nephews; her adopted family Barbara and Charles Stills.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. No graveside services will be held.

I am so sorry to hear about Sarah’s passing! I’ve not had the privilege to be around her for years due to moves and lost connection. Saw her from time to time ! She was an amazing lady and a big part of my family for years ! she loved the Lord and her very presence on this earth will be missed dearly! Her light was bright and all that knew and loved her were better for it !
