Tara Nicole Goolsby Russell
26 a resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, and a former resident of Lincoln, went to be with her Lord July 27, 2009 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 4, 1983 at Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Zell and Barbara Burrows Goolsby Jr.
She was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Tara graduated from Lincoln High School in 2001, and obtained her LPN degree.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Zell Goolsby Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Will Russell of the home; two sons, Gavin Russell and Logan Russell both of the home; her father and mother of Lincoln, Arkansas; one brother, Jerry Goolsby and his wife, Christy of Columbia, Missouri; two sisters, Kim Brock and her husband, Chris, of Westville, Oklahoma, and Melissa Hutchens and her husband, Doug of Lincoln, Arkansas; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Burrows of Summers, Arkansas; her maternal grandfather, Noble Burrows of Natural Dam, Arkansas; her paternal grandmother, Ethel Goolsby of Fayetteville, Arkansas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins;
Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 - 10:00 A.M. at the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Glen Faulkner and Randy Burris officiating. Interment will be in the Beaty Cemetery near Lincoln, Arkansas.

Jr. & Barbara, Jerry, Kim and Melissa: I remember when I first met your family through Jerry -- I knew immediately he was a boy who cherished every one of his sisters. I was completely fascinated with how someone his age could have a sister so much younger -- she was 3 or 4 then -- and I was captivated by her (even though she did give me the chicken pox when she was in kindergarden and I was in college!) I do remember some joshing about how much "easier" she had it after Kim and Melissa paved the way and a lot of general sibling fun -- but mostly I remember that every person Tara encountered was captivated by her. I know she was adored by all of you and so many more. I hadn't seen her in a long time, but I knew a little of her growing up, through my parents. I never doubted she was making you proud of her, and I was happy to hear she was married and raising her own family. It came as a shock to hear of your loss, and it broke my heart today. I looked at all of the pictures on your site, and she just grew up so beautiful. I am praying for all of you to find some peace, and to be able to enjoy the legacy she has left you, in her spirit, and in her family. I am so sorry for your loss. Tara and I met while doing flu shots at school. She was so easy to work with and was always willing to go the extra mile to help a child. I loved calling the clinic and hearing her voice on the other line. We shared a love for children and I could always count on her to see a sick child, even if it was 5:00pm and it was time to close up for the day. Her smile, and soft, loving voice would comfort those in need. I miss her so much and wonder how I'll get through the school year without her. My son remembers her studying at the front desk while answering the phone, seeing patients, and managing the front desk. She was a great asset to the medical community and I will dearly miss her.
