Beth Ellen Babb

Beth Ellen Babb, age 82, of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at The Grove Health and Rehab Center in Jacksonville, Illinois.

She was born May 16, 1942 in Lincoln, Arkansas the daughter of Carl Raymond and Jewel Louise Reed Watson. She married John Tack Babb on October 13, 1960 in Lincoln, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2015.

Mrs. Babb was a homemaker. She graduated from Lincoln, Arkansas High School with the class of 1959 and was a member of the Versailles Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons Michael Babb (Chris) of Mt. Sterling and Mark Babb (Michelle) of Jacksonville. A daughter-in-law, Jodi Babb of Los Angeles, California. Six grandchildren Jordan Babb (Rachel) of Phoenix, Arizona, Jillian Taylor Moore (Gregory) of North Hollywood, California, Jami Schuwerk (Steve), Joshua Babb (Carly) and Molly Burton all of Mt. Sterling and Caleb Babb of Jacksonville. Eleven great grandchildren also survive along with one brother Carl Richard Watson (Pamela) of Lincoln, Arkansas.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Christopher Babb and one sister Barbara Ann Reed.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in the Versailles West Side Cemetery with Pastor Dale Gadberry officiating.

There will be no visitation.
