Obituary
Patsy Matt Harrison Hall
81 a resident of the Viney Grove Community near Prairie Grove went to be with her Lord, June 8, 2007 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born November 7, 1925 in Vilonia, Arkansas, the daughter of Benjamin (Pat) Garner and Mattie Evelyn Powell Harrison.
Patsy Harrison Hall, affectionately known as “Grandmommy,” Mom, Gieslaroo and just plain Pat, was and is the personification of Faith, Hope and Love. She made an atmosphere that contagiously overflowed with integrity, compassion and stubborn commitment. Anyone was welcome in her home, and all came to soak up the peace and joy left over from yesterday, bubbling over from today or anticipated for tomorrow. God gave her many children to influence and she faithfully gave Love, Hope and Inspiration to them all. She gave them all roots and wings deep and strong enough not only to overcome life’s challenges but to grow from them. Freed from the earthly body she wore out so well, no longer confined by time and space, her spirit has rejoined the ever-present and all-powerful force of life we Christians know through our brother Jesus and our Holy Father, thanks be to God.
Pat lived this simple principal: trust God; and do the best that you can for as long as you can, for as many as you can.
Pat was a devoted PEO sister and past President of chapter K “1985-1987" and received her 50 year pin in 2003.
She was a member of the City Hospital Auxiliary and supported the Arbor foundation and many other organizations and charities.
Pat was preceded in death by her great grandson, Canyon Fletcher Hall and parents Mattie Evelyn Powell Harrison (Mimi) and Benjamin (Pat) Garner Harrison ( Papi).
She is the most beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who shared in her earthly life. Life was to her, relationships.
She was the director in the orchestra of her family, may her music be ever heard.
Waiting to join her are her husband of 62 years, Joe B., Hall, sibling’s Benjamin Garner Harrison Jr., Mary Ruth Harrison Harrell, Dr. William F. Harrison and Martha Rachel Harrison. Her four sons Sidney Fletcher Hall III and wife Teresa, Dr. Benjamin Harrison Hall and wife Cathy, Joseph William Palmer Hall and wife Kathy, Patrick Talmage Hall and wife Kristine; two daughters, Mary Virginia (Gigi) Hall Moore and husband Rager and Dr. Helen Melissa Hall Halbert and husband Steve.
Grandchildren include Shane Geurin Hall and wife Lory, Syndney Corrine (Suedee) Hall, William Chance Hall, Heather Amanda Hall Bottoms and husband Nathan, Stephanie “Rachel” Hall, Cynthia “Lauren” Hall, David Harrison Hall, Mathew William Hall, Michael “Jeremy” Ashley and wife Tracie, Nanci Ashley Early and husband Brian, Naomi Ashley Core and husband Andy, Jesse Reed Morris and wife Liberty, Luke Allen Morris, Joshua Payton Hall and wife Hannah, Caroline Grace Moore, Charlotte Diane Moore, Courtney Renee Moore, Megan Louise Halbert, Jonathan Andrew Halbert, Jaylia Elizabeth Halbert, Mariah Jamison Halbert

Funeral services will be held at Prairie Grove Christian Church, at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007. Pat’s physical ashes will be returned to the earth, on the Hall family farm, in a private ceremony in the coming weeks. Pat was fully committed to recycling.
Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons, Shane Geurin Hall, William Chance Hall, David Harrison Hall, Matthew William Hall, Michael “Jeremy” Ashley, Jesse Reed Morris, Luke Allen Morris, Joshua Payton Hall,- Jonathan Andrew Halbert and PEO Chapter K Members.

Tributes

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hall family. Pat was a very gracious and loving person that will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Marvin & Janice Rice - Family Friends

To all the Hall family, I feel deeply sadden with Pat's passing. I considered her a friend and most definitely my mentor. Her smiling face, her red hair and the respect she had from her husband is a tribute in and of itself. Thoughts of her over the past 40 years are a treasure to me. In Christ may she rest in peace. Love to all of the Hall's, Dr. Hall, the boys and the girls and their spouses, as well as their children.
Dorothea And Nelson Coleman - Friend And Former Employee

Our thoughts and prayers are with the extended family. We'll miss seeing her at the Christmas sing-alongs.

How sad it is that Pat has left us, but how nice it is to remember her and have a smile come to our faces. We admired Pat for her warmth among many other wonderful traits.

I have many fond memories of growing up with Lissa, playing pool in the basement and summers out at the farm. Mrs Hall was always wonderful to be around and treated me like part of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Martha
Martha L Wolf - Grew Up With Lissa

Our hearts go out to the Hall family at the loss of Mrs. Hall. I have the most wonderful childhood memories of being at the Hall household and Mrs. Hall always extending her warmth and love to everyone. I knew that she was someone I could always rely on, just like my parents. I saw Mrs. Hall for the last time about two years ago when Mom and I stopped by to say hello when we were both visiting in Fayetteville. Even though she was frail in body, the same joy for life was in her eyes and the same warm smile was always there. I am sure she's at peace with the Lord, and watching down over her family still.
We will be sending a memorial to a diabetes research foundation in memory of Mrs. Hall.
Cristine Wolf - Family Friend - Childhood Friend Of Gigi

I still practice some of life's lessons Ms. Hall shared with the gang of friends that rolled through the Mt. Nord & PG farm houses in the 70's & 80's.
I treasure fond memories of time shared with all you.
My heart and prayers extend to you without tears because we know she is one.
Anne Faupel - Childhood Friend Of Lissa's

Dr. George Ackerman called this morning and drew my attention to the obituary section of the paper. It was with great sadness that I read of Pat's passing. The Hall family and the Wheeler family have been entwined for many years and we owe a great debt to Dr. Joe Hall and Pat. Words are never adequate at a time like this, so I will just say that if Pauline, Jug, and Jim Bob were still with us, they would feel as I do, and want to express to the Hall family our most sincere feelings of loss and sadness. Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It sounds like Pat was truly a Christian and a loving & warm lady. Your friend, Helen

Pat was a hero every day in so many ways. Her influence on the quality of medical care in NW Arkansas was beyond imagination. Her positive influencs on friends, family, community, and on Donna and I will last forever! We are thankful for the influence of Pat and Joe B. on our lives.

Joe and all the Hall children: i am so sorry i am unable to come to Pat's service on Tuesday. Morriss and i have been in Florida with a daughter and her famly and just returned and i have committed to take my sister in law in Jay Oklahoma to Tulsa for cancer treatment on Tuesday morning early.
I can still remember when Pat came to see me when i just found out i was pregnant again--and the babies would be 14 months apart. She told me her last two were ll months apart!
What a wonderful wife and mother and friend she was to all. And the movie video tribute you all put together was perfect--it captured her perfectly. What a trip down memory lane. I learned so much about being a mother from her and her example.
Peace and grace,
Ann

Grand Mommy meant so much to me. She always made me feel like I was one of her grandchildren. I have always appreciated being included with the Hall family.

To The Hall Family,
I was very saddened to hear of your loss. Pat Hall made my life better having known her all these many years. I remember the wonderful Christmas parties for the FDC families at Mt. Nord, the picnics at the farm and how much we all enjoyed those, and yes, Pat driving the house boat on Beaver Lake while the kids and adults jumped from the top to swim. Pat enjoyed everyone, you could always tell by the beautiful smile on her face. I know each of you will greatly miss her but you can always carry her memory close in your heart.

I hope Patrick and Gigi remember the blizzard of 1977 and the big snowball fight we had at the Fulbright house, when Pat made us two sheetpans of biscuits and a huge Corningware bowl of gravy. I've not forgotten that meal, or the warmth of Pat and her hospitality. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, and that I can't be there to offer my condolences in person. What a great legacy she has left us.
One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

Thank you for your witness in our community and at the hospital. May God grant you much grace and comfort

I was sorry to learn of Pat's passing. I have many wonderful memories of dinners at the Hall's home, choir trips, parties, concerts, etc. She was a great friend and shared a special gift of love, caring and nurture with all whom she came into contact.
Kenneth R. Davis - Choir Director

(I'm writing this for Pauline who is 94 years young. Pauline is my wife's grandmother.) Pauline told me yesterday she has known the doctor and Mrs. Hall from when Doctor Hall began his practice in Fayetteville. She said, early on, Mrs. Hall kept the books for her husband, did nursing because she had been trained as a nurse, raised the kids--and, in all of it, was always so very, very kind. Pauline says, all she has are very fond memories of Mrs. Hall.

Dr. Hall, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. I will be praying for you and your family. I know from personally losing mom (Billie Barton) it is such a difficult time even though we know your mom is in a wonderful place. This void is one that only God can ease over the years.

Roy and I send our love and concern to all the Hall family. My mother, Lillius Kersey was a member of the Prairie Grove Methodist Church and knew Joe Hall, who came to her home for her 85th birthday celebration with Bro. Joe Sherman. We know Mrs. Hall is now enjoying life on the streets of gold with others who have gone on before her. Our prayers are with you all during this time of loss, but you know that all is well with her.
