Vernice re-married Ralph Pennel on December 28, 1985 and divorced him on December 11, 1995 Zelta Vernice Pennel 97 a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away March 7, 2014 in Farmington, Arkansas. She was born July 29, 1916 at Morrow the daughter of Walter Lester and Hesentine Freeman Glidewell. She was involved in Home Extension Club, Hobby Club, Volunteer at WRMC, Women's Ministries, Garden Club, Friendship Club, Kitchen Band, Quilting Club, long time Sunday School teacher and a wonderful cook, expert seamstress, and was famous for “The Cake”. Preceded in death by one son Therrel Royce Pennel, two husbands Ralph Harley Pennel, Robert "Bob" Pitts and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons Howard Lee Pennel of Spring Hill, Florida, Arlis Dean Pennel and wife Carrie of Morrow, Arkansas; one brother Robert Glidewell of Banning, California; one daughter in law Sue Pennel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren Debbie Skeans, Sherrel Jones, Christian Pennel, Leslie Pennel, Diane Jenson, Duane Pennel, Lollie Islas, Jessica Lozon, Billy Pennel; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Service will be held Tuesday March 11, 2014 2:00 Pm Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
