Hazel Ina Pense Thurman Engler 84, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away November 21, 2007 at the Fayetteville City Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born November 30, 1922 at Winslow, Arkansas, the daughter of Rufus F. and Rose Ella Reed Pense. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. She worked at the University of Arkansas for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dempsey Thurman and John Wesley Engler. Survivors include one son, Jerry Thurman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two daughters Carol Ryan of Farmington, Arkansas and Joyce Collins of Westville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Steven Shelley, Michael Collins, Scottie Thurman, Cody Bookout, Ethan Bookout, and Andrew Shelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Dodd, Aaron Dodd, and Taylor Collins.
