Mrs. Elizabeth Asher Miss Elizabeth Chary (Cherry) was born in Missouri, May 22, 1841, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Howell, March 2, 1927, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 8 days. She was married to Walter Asher in 1861. To this union 12 children were born, nine of whom are living. Mr. Asher died August 28, 1893. Mrs. Asher is the grandmother of 38 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She united with the Primitive Baptist church in girlhood.
