Garlen Ewing Yell
83, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away December 17, 2015, at his home. He was born October 12, 1932, in Hogeye, the son of Ernest Noble and Jewell Mae Norris Yell.
Ewing served in the United States Army.
Ewing was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Barbara McCoy Yell and one granddaughter Stephanie Kealy.
Survivors include his wife Billie Yell; one daughter Lynnette Kealy of Fayetteville; three sons Mike Yell of Ozark, Arkansas, Eddie Yell of Prairie Grove and Garlen Yell of Fayetteville; three step-sons Joe McDowell of St. Louis, Missouri, Jack McDowell of Prairie Grove and Pat McDowell of Goshen; two brothers Wayne Yell of Prairie Grove and Glen Yell of Stilwell, Oklahoma; two sisters Viva Mae Hyland of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Helen Buck of Holden, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel with burial in National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be: Ed Yell, Garlen Yell, Mike Yell, Cole Yell, Tyler Yell, Walter Yell, John Yell and Phillip Kealy.
