Research Notes
Killed in a riot near Franklin, TN, soon after the surrender of the Confederate Army. He joined the Confederate Army 11/2/1861 and was home at least twice because of wounds. He was captured at Fort Donaldson 2/16/1862 and was a prisoner at Camp Morton, IN. He signed an Oath of Allegiance to the Union on 2/9/1865, only ten days before he was killed.
